The Mini Muslimah's First Holiday Club is a success. Alhamdulillah
Assalamu Alaykum W.W
Wooooooooooooooooooooooooooahhhhh! I am so tired! Today has been a fun filled day with the ultimate pleasure of meeting some amazing little Mini Muslimah's.
Half of the hall was filled with Sister Farhin playing games and sports with all the active Mini Muslimahs. Then one side was filled with lots of craft and baking tables. The activity tables included:
- Decorate a biscuit
- Make a Crispie Cake
- Make a model with playdoh or lollipop sticks
- Make a bookmark with Foam and Lollipop Sticks
- Decorate a gift bag
- Decorate Calender and some funky cards/ envelopes
- Get creative with canvases and wooden pots.
All these activities were supervised by Sister Rehana, Sister Maariya, Sister Fatima and Sister Uzma. Below are some pictures of the excellent things which were made.
There was a fabulous area set up for the girls to go and read a book and chilllll out if they were tired. Also an Open Mic system to give girls the chance to sing nasheeds which built self belief, passion and determination into standing up in a crowd.
For lunch Madam Hamida, Madam Memuna, Madam Hazra and with the help of Madam Rehana and the other Sister helpers everyone was given lunch. Everyone enjoyed the lunch hour which was then followed with a game of Wink Murderer and Parce the Parcel. Then a secret sponsor-er had given three cash prizes for number 10, 22 and 67 of the register. The lucky winners were Radiya, Maariya Ahmed and Sana Kazi.
The session was ended with a quote from the special bag. The quote was:
'The smart one isn't the one who wins arguments, rather avoids them in the first place.'
Jazakallah to all the Mini Muslimah's which came and to their parents which made every efffort to send their beautiful girls. And very big Jazakallah to all the helpers and well- wishers, today wouldn't have been a success without your duas and help.

The Mini Muslimah Crew: Appreciating Parents
Assalamu Alaykum W.W.
Sister Hajirah then talked to all the girls and told us some amazing stories. She also talked about how our parents are people too and how things they do for us is just a part of their life. Our parents are the people which will forever love us and never stop and always want the best for us. We then did a eye- opening activity by trying to fill out a questionnaire about our parents. Some of the girls whizzed through this whilst others struggled.
Soon after, Madam Hamida had prepared snack for all the little sisters. We all had some squash and biscuits. I was starving today because I had no time for breakfast! (Did I mention I'm not a morning person?)
After this Sister Hajirah did a demonstration of a jar and some pebble, small stones, sand and water. All the girls were astonished with the underlying message of this.
Sister Hajirah had told me to write a thank you letter to my parents to read to the girls. As i did read this out at the end the girls were all like 'Awwwwww' and made my morning. The Mini Muslimah's ended by writing lovely and heart- warming letters to their Mummy's and Daddy's.
The seesion was ended by a quote from our lovely bag. The quote was picked by our new member, Maleeha. The quote was 'Everything we intend to do is for the Fear of Allah alone'
Fantastic morning with amazing little sisters. Always make me smile on a Saturday.
Hope everyone has an amazing Half Term and hope to see you all soon!
Jazakallah for reading and feel free to comment... Remember the Mini Muslimah Crew in your duas.

Assalamu Alaykum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh...
Where it all started?
Once upon a time there was a girl called Asma which loved the young children around her. Whether they were her family, nieces, nephew, friends or just the girls she met everyday at Madrasa! She thought they were all a very important part of her life. One day at Madrasa she asked the girls in the class if they would come to a club if it was to run on a Saturday morning. As eager as the girls were they all jumped to the same conclusion, 'YES!' As a young girl wanting to start this venture she knew there was a demand for it in the community. She started making posters and thinking of a suitable name for her club. After much thought and discussion with family she named it, The Mini Muslimah Crew. With much eagerness she started planning the first six weeks of The Mini Muslimah Crew. With a budget of £50.00, a army of family behind her she took a trip along to the shops in the Preston Town Centre. At the evening with sore arms and lots of art and craft she returned home with her mother wondering whether what she was doing was going to work out.Although my mother and father encouraged me that Inshallah this was the start of something beautiful.
The first session was held on Saturday 10th November from 11.00am till 1.00pm and attracted over 30 girls. Alhamdulillah the first six weeks couldn't have been as good as they turned out. We had done activities like decorating canvases, Mini Muslimahs Got Talent, Mini Muslimahs get active with a very fun sport session, themed week, a party to celebrate the launching of The Mini Muslimah Crew and an exclusive Baking session which was in very high demand but limited spaces. My mother was forever supporting me and assisting me by preparing snack, welcoming the girls and ensuring that everything was in tact. After the initial six weeks were up, I was happy with the things which took place and was hoping to re-launch another six weeks.
A relaxed and friendly Islamic atmosphere has meant that the girls have a safe place to hang out, to share their worries and concerns and more importantly to increase their love for the deen. The Club is aimed at girls between the ages of 10-13.
Sessions run from 11.00am – 1.00pm, attracting girls from all over Preston. Girls from all backgrounds flock to the club bringing a rich and vibrant feel to the place.
The Mini Muslimah Crew charges girls a minimum of £2 to help cover cost of the activities and snack to make it as fun and enjoyable for the young girls.
A big Jazakallah for the help I have received in the initial 6 weeks are:
Firstly, to the most amazing parents that have supported me throughout and I don't think it would have been the same with out them.
My brothers which would always tell me that I was doing something great and helping me with every aspect of the journey I had started.
To the most amazing sisters Allah has blessed me with, Saeeda and Hazra, forever keeping me on the ground. Taking me for the last minute shops on Friday evening.
To the entire Vali family always asking the ways they could help me get me through and ensuring that every Saturday was unique.
To Ayub Mama and Rehana Mami always helping distribute my posters.
My Nana, Nani, Dada and Dadi forever keeping me in their duas and ringing every Saturday to ask how it went.
To my entire extended family and cousins which supported and gave me ideas through the start up.
A very very Big Jazakallah to Moulana Khalid, Hafiz Ismail and the committee of Quwwatul Islam Madrasa which whole heartedly let me use their building and forever supporting me and pushing to help me getting further in the venture.
Without these people I don't think the launching process would be as successful, so Jazakallah to all and keep The Mini Muslimah Crew in your duas.
