The Mini Muslimah Crew: Appreciating Parents

Assalamu Alaykum W.W.

Today's session was themed around the easiest way to Jannah... Appreciating Parents! We had a very special guest speaker, Sister Hajirah. She started the session with a Nasheed which talks about The Mother. As an icebreaker and to get all the girl's a bit hyper she gave each group a scenario to act out. Everyone enjoyed this very much.

Sister Hajirah then talked to all the girls and told us some amazing stories. She also talked about how our parents are people too and how things they do for us is just a part of their life. Our parents are the people which will forever love us and never stop and always want the best for us. We then did a eye- opening activity by trying to fill out a questionnaire about our parents. Some of the girls whizzed through this whilst others struggled.

Soon after, Madam Hamida had prepared snack for all the little sisters. We all had some squash and biscuits. I was starving today because I had no time for breakfast! (Did I mention I'm not a morning person?)

 After having snack the girls and I did a circle time activity by telling the other Mini Muslimah's about the most amazing thing our parents have done for us. Then Sister Hajirah gave us a special gift. This was list of simple things which any parent would love. Inshallah which we will all tick off each month. 

After this Sister Hajirah did a demonstration of a jar and some pebble, small stones, sand and water. All the girls were astonished with the underlying message of this. 

Sister Hajirah had told me to write a thank you letter to my parents to read to the girls. As i did read this out at the end the girls were all like 'Awwwwww' and made my morning. The Mini Muslimah's ended by writing lovely and heart- warming letters to their Mummy's and Daddy's. 

The seesion was ended by a quote from our lovely bag. The quote was picked by our new member, Maleeha. The quote was 'Everything we intend to do is for the Fear of Allah alone'

Fantastic morning with amazing little sisters. Always make me smile on a Saturday.
